A beautiful film that centers around a little girl named HushPuppy from the Bayou who suffers the absence of her mother and is being reared by her ailing father. HushPuppy seeks to make the universe cohesive and understand her place in it, feel love and be loved. Through a series of unfortunate and traumatic events she with all of her 5 year-old wisdom faces one of the most challenging adversities of her life in the only place she's known as "The Bathtub" of Louisiana.
